Your experience begins with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in Panama City. Pickup will take place between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
From there, you’ll enjoy a scenic 1-hour drive to the Gamboa Marina, gateway to the majestic Gatun Lake.
On board a boat equipped with life jackets and valid insurance, you will navigate for about 15 minutes through the iconic waters of the Panama Canal before entering protected tropical rainforest areas.
The boat experience lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which, together with your guide, you will explore small islands and observe birds, reptiles, and monkeys in their natural environment.
During the navigation, you will also have the opportunity to enjoy a recreational fishing experience using a shared fishing rod, an authentic and relaxing activity in the lake’s natural surroundings.
After the activity, you will return by boat to Gamboa Marina to begin your drive back to Panama City (approx. 1 hour). During the road journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of the rainforest and the Canal area, including passing near the Pedro Miguel Locks, where you can appreciate the impressive engineering that connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
In total, the tour combines about 2 hours of land transportation and 1 hour and 30 minutes of boat activities, for an estimated duration of 4 to 5 hours, a balanced, safe, and well-organized experience.
